The Difference Between a Poet and a Writer — Full English Article
What is the difference between a poet (Shayar) and a prose writer (Musannif/Adeeb)? While both work with the medium of language, the poet distills an ocean of emotion into two rhythmic lines (couplets), whereas the prose writer builds worlds, characters, and unfolding arguments across chapters and essays.
